Internal RAW changed my workflow
Grading 6K N-RAW gives me so much latitude. The EVF is shockingly bright in sun and the body feels built to last. A serious video hybrid.

Video monster, mind the cards
Best video I have shot on a hybrid. Just budget for fast CFexpress and storage — RAW eats space. Stills and AF are very good too.

Buyer questions

Questions & answers

Real questions from buyers, answered by owners and the ComparZone team.

From the community

QIs it better than the A7 IV for stills?
They are close; the A7 IV edges AF and lens selection, the Z6 III edges speed and EVF. For stills-only buyers either is excellent.
QDo I need CFexpress for everything?
Only for the highest-bitrate RAW video and fastest bursts; SD UHS-II handles stills and standard video fine.

Frequently asked

Can it record RAW internally?
Yes — it records 6K 60p N-RAW and ProRes RAW internally, a standout for video shooters who want maximum flexibility in post.
Why is the viewfinder a big deal?
At 4000 nits it is the brightest EVF available, making it far easier to compose in bright sunlight.
Is dynamic range worse than the A7 IV?
The partially-stacked sensor gives up a little base-ISO dynamic range for speed, but in real-world use the difference is small for most shooters.
