The exclusives are magic
Zelda and Mario are reason enough, and the OLED screen makes handheld play gorgeous. We pass it around the family and play on trips. Nothing else does this.

Charming, not powerful
It will never match a PS5 on graphics, and you feel its age in big games. But for Nintendo games and portability it is wonderful — my second console of choice.

Buyer questions

Questions & answers

Real questions from buyers, answered by owners and the ComparZone team.

From the community

QDoes it play 4K on my TV?
No — it outputs up to 1080p when docked. It is designed for portability and exclusives rather than 4K fidelity.
QCan I expand the storage?
Yes — a microSD card slot lets you add plenty of affordable storage for digital games.

Frequently asked

How powerful is it versus PS5 or Xbox?
Much less powerful — it is a portable hybrid targeting 1080p docked / 720p handheld, not 4K. Its appeal is exclusives and play-anywhere flexibility, not raw graphics.
Is the OLED worth it over the standard Switch?
For handheld players, yes — the 7-inch OLED is far more vibrant, plus you get a better kickstand, audio, and 64GB storage.
Can the whole family play together?
Yes — detachable Joy-Cons and a huge library of party and co-op games make it ideal for local multiplayer.
